LAHORE: An open auction of eight shops of the Liberty Park N Ride Plaza, Gulberg, and 17 commercial plots of Johar Town, Faisal Town, Tajpura and Fruit and Vegetable Market Allama Iqbal Town will be held by the Lahore Development Authority on September 8, 2014 at the LDA Community Centre, 239-A New Muslim Town, at 10:00 am.
A total of 67 shops have been constructed in this 10-storey parking plaza where two floors have been exclusively reserved for shopping purpose. It can accommodate 400 vehicles and 500 bikes at a time. The rooftop restaurant will offer a bird’s eye view of the surroundings.
Built at a cost of Rs.677 million, this 11-floor structure has been constructed on a 3.17 kanal piece of land adjacent to the UCH Hospital with entrances on all the four sides. Besides facility of standby generator, two capsule lifts have also been installed for facilitating the people.
A total of 80 shops have been built in the basement, ground and first floors of the plaza along with two restaurants on the first floor and rooftop of the structure. As many as 26 shops have already been auctioned in the plaza.
The plaza at Main Boulevard, Gulberg, has a capacity of providing parking facility to 308 cars per day. It is already operational and hundreds of people, including shoppers and visitors, are daily benefiting from this safe and secure parking facility of the international standard.
Safety and Security of the people have been ensured in this structure. The design includes open stairwells and ramps, security devices such as Road Blockers, Cars-canners, CCTV, Public Address System, Fire Alarm and Firefighting, audio and emergency buttons that call the local police station, elimination of potential hiding places such as open stairs. Handicap accessibility with vehicles close to the stairs and elevator cores have also been provided.
