Senate has decided to stop the “Qabza Mafia” by legal procedure as the complaints from the Overseas Pakistanis have receiving on continuous basis that their properties are being occupied by the “Qabza Mafia”. The decision is that legal assistance will provide to all emigrants whose property is threatened and for this, the amendment is taken in the Emigration Ordinance 1979.

The details of this amendment are that the legal assistance will be provided within 25 days after the complaint regarding illegal occupancy and disposition of property and this procedure will start after providing the required legal documents.

Session court will be activated after the complaint will be received and this complaint will be sent by the government and session curt will take necessary action according to law. A legal counsel will also be provided with the consent of the complainant.

This bill was presented in Senate and passed unopposed on Monday. It was tabled by Maula Bukhsh Chandio of PPPP and standing committee of overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development cleared this amendment.
