Punjab government approves 8 new development schemes

Lahore—The Punjab government on Wednesday has approved 8 development schemes of different development Sectors with an estimated cost of Rs. 15618.196 million. These schemes were approved in the 46th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party of current fiscal year 2013-14 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi, says P&D Spokesman.

Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting. According to Spokesman P&D, the approved development schemes included: Punjab Youth Internship Program (Phase-II) (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 1286.830 million, Registration of Geographical Indications (3rd Revised) at the cost of Rs. 99.550 million, Lahore Ring Road Project Fencing / Barrier Wall / RCC Wall at the cost of Rs. 212.107 million, Lahore Ring Road (Package-11) Construction of Interchange at Ghazi Road at the cost of Rs. 2216.990 million, Lahore Ring Road (Package-13) Construction of Road Portion from Mehmood Booti To Lakhu Dair at the cost of Rs. 1335.484 million, Construction of Road and Bridge Between District Mianwali and Jand, District Attock at the cost of Rs. 2164.294 million, Dualization of Khanewal Lodhran Road length=98.00 km in District Khanewal / Vehari and Lodhran at the cost of Rs. 8061.155 million and Construction of Metalled Road from Pull Dat (D.G. Khan City) to Kot Mubarak Via Kot Habait Chabri and Yaroo on Western Bank of Manka Canal Length=8.25 Km, District D.G. Khan (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 241.786 million.
