Islamabad: Member Administration of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Amer Ali Ahmed on Monday took over additional charge of the Member Estate.

Soon after assuming additional assignment, the senior CDA official ordered cancellation of allotment of seven residential plots at different locations. The cases regarding non-conforming use of these houses were forwarding to the Member Estate by the Planning Wing.

The CDA sources said that seeing magnitude of problem of non-conforming use of residential buildings, the cancellation of allotment of plots of houses would

be a gigantic task. “But today’s cancellation orders will serve as deterrence against non-conforming use of buildings,” the sources said.

It is expected that more cases of cancellation of plots under non-conforming use would be executed in coming days.

The Member Estate and Administration also held meeting with office-bearers of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) to build up support for action against illegal use of residential buildings.
