Seven schemes worth Rs 3.95 billion approved

The Punjab government on Tuesday approved seven development schemes with an estimated cost of Rs 3,954.909 million.

These schemes were approved in the 37th meeting of provincial development working party of current fiscal year 2013-14 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman Muhammad Irfan Elahi, says P&D spokesman.

According to the spokesman, the approved development schemes included: Feasibility Study Regarding Development of Strategic and Bankable Investment Proposal for Wildlife Park Bansra Gali Murree (PC-II) at the cost of Rs 11.520 Million, Feasibility Study Regarding Development of Strategic and Bankable Investment Proposal for Lal Suhanra National Park, Bahawalpur and Zoo Safari, Lahore. (PC-II) at the cost of Rs 18.220 Million, Capacity Building of Emergency Service in Punjab (Revenue) at the cost of Rs 664.942 Million, Urban Extension Water Supply & Sewerage Scheme Nankana Sahib District Nankana Sahib (Revised) at the cost of Rs 254.634 Million, Lahore Ring Road (Package-3B) Underpass near Shadbagh Pumping Station at Jhuggian Jodha on Ring Road Lahore. (Revised) at the cost of Rs 334.701 Million, Construction of Underpass along Canal at Abdullahpur Chowk, District Faisalabad (Revised) at the cost of Rs 1267.910 Million, Remodelling of Canal Bank Road Between Dharampura Underpass to Thoker Niaz Baig Lahore (Widening / Improvement of Portion from Mall Road Underpass to Doctor’s Hospital Underpass Phase-I) at the cost of Rs 1402.982 Million.
