Islamabad—Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Maroof Afzal has directed for speedy completion of repair, maintenance and upgradation work of the parks in capital. Modern facilities should be provided at the parks so that the citizens could enjoy best recreational facilities, he directed during his visit to Ankara and Lake View Park here on Thursday.
The Chairman directed that a mechanism should be devised so that even after completion of repair, maintenance and upgradation work, all the facilities provided at Ankara Park may remain safe for use of the citizens for a long period of time.
The Chairman CDA also visited Lake View Park. During his visit the Chairman personally inspected the facilities available there.
He said that the Lake View Park is visited by a large number of people everyday which it the busiest recreational spot in the city.
People from all walks of society and all age groups regularly visit the park. The Chairman therefore directed the authorities concerned to ensure the provision of all required facilities including clean drinking water there.
The Chairman directed to ensure everyday cleanliness to provide healthy atmosphere to the visitors. He also directed the authorities concerned to arrange immediate repair work for the facilities available at the park. He stressed the authorities concerned to make arrangements of tight security for the visitors particularly at weekends, when rush of the visitor touches its peak.
Chairman on the occasion appealed to the citizens that during their visit to the park cleanliness should be given top priority.
