NOC mandatory to sell plots in LDA schemes

Sunday, February 23, 2014 - Lahore—On the directives of Director General Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Ahad Khan Cheema, LDA has prepared a revised ‘Standard Operating Procedure’ (SOP) for issuance of NOCs for plots in LDA schemes.

Under the revised SOP, owners of plots in the LDA housing schemes will have to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from LDA as a mandatory condition before selling their plots.

The NOC shall be valid for transferring a plot for a period of one year since the date of its issuance.

Applications seeking an NOC, alongwith attested copies of transfer letter/ownership document(s) issued in the name of the owner, Computerized National Identity Card, Completion Certificate (if available) otherwise proof of valid building plan and application for issuance of Demand Notice for NOC will be submitted at the One Window Cell of LDA.

Assistant Director of the Directorate concerned will receive the application at the One-Window. After preliminary scrutiny, the application will then be referred to the Assistance Director of the Revenue Wing at the One-Window who will issue the challan to the applicant for the process fee.

The Challan Form shall also include a disclaimer that in case of discovery of any issue/problem in the ownership, the amount deposited as process fee shall be forfeited. The applicant shall be required to deposit the amount on the same day and bring back the receipt to the window for further process.

From One-Window, the application and the relevant documents shall be sent to the concerned Directorate of Land Development or Estate Management, whatever the case may be for further processing.
