Tuesday, February 11, 2014 - Islamabad—Kashmir Highway is a famous inter-provincial road with huge importance for the motorists. The speedy completion of the Kashmir Highway construction and expansion work should be ensured to reduce the problems for the motorists. Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Maroof Afzal expressed these views while instructing the concerned authorities during his visit to inspect the ongoing construction and expansion work on Kashmir Highway.

Best of professional expertise should be utilized for speedy completion of the construction and expansion work on Kashmir Highway but there should be no compromise on quality and standard of the work, the Chairman further said on the occasion.

The Chairman during his visit to Kashmir Highway viewed the construction and expansion work at different sections of the highway from Peshawar Mor to Golra Toll Plaza. The Chairman viewed the construction work on the bridges as well.

Realizing the importance of uninterrupted traffic flow during the construction work, the Chairman particularly viewed the alternate passages temporarily provided during construction work and directed the installation of signboards to guide people towards alternate pathways.
