Sunday, January 12, 2014 - Islamabad—The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will announce tender to purchase 33 buses for new Islamabad bus service on January 27.

According to the CDA officials, the bus service will be launched in April this year. They said initially a private company will launch the bus service and the public transport vehicles will be started on three routes including from Rawat to Pak Secretariat, from Bhara Kahu to Pak Secretariat and from IJP Road/I-10 Sector to Pak Secretariat.

The CDA officials said that the project will purely be of the civic authority and it is not linked to any other public transport project. The CDA will also construct 90 bus stops on the three routes and fare of the vehicles will also be less than fare of other transport services. Though the Regional Transport Authority will fix the fare later, they added.
