Islamabad—Enforcement Directorate of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) launched an operation and demolished 200 encroachments of different categories established in basements of four plazas in F-11 Markaz.
The demolished encroachments included illegal shops in the basements and illegal sheds and cabins in passages of the four plazas. A spokesman of Capital Development Authority termed the demolished encroachments and illegal constructions in violation of CDA building by-laws which invited action by CDA.
The spokesman further said that operation was conducted by 140 members squad of CDA Enforcement Directorate in police presence. The spokesman further said that the six hours long operation to demolish encroachments in basements of these four plazas started at 09:00 A.M and concluded at 03:00 P.M.
He said that CDA is determined to do away with all encroachments from Islamabad and the Enforcement Directorate has been directed to persistently monitor the post operation situation to ensure non-recurrence of the removed encroachments.
