ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) has cancelled allotment of residences of 109 officers and subordinate staff who have constructed their homes on allotted plots and are still living in government residences.

Cancellation of allotment has been ordered as per ministry of housing and building accommodation rules Allocation Rules-2002 under which a government employee is not entitled to allotment of government residence who was allotted plot and he had constructed his home thereon.
CDA Director Adman has issued notices to the officers concerned who have rented out their own homes which they had constructed on the allotted plots and they are living in CDA allotted homes.

CDA administration sources said that these quarters will be allotted to those employees who have not been allotted any plot and they are living in hired homes or they have not constructed homes due to non handing over of possession of the plots to them by CDA.

CDA sources said that in the first phase notices have been issued to the officers asking them to vacate the government residences within a month
