KARACHI: Sindh government has released 100 percent funds for 293 ongoing development schemes in Karachi, that are expected to be completed by December 31, 2013. Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has appointed Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Ahmad as supervisor. In Karachi the schemes include twoway flyovers at Ayesha Manzil, Daak-Khana, SM Taufiq Road and Expansion of Teen Hatti Bridge. Other projects to be completed before 2014 include rehabilitation and improvement of internal streets in Lyari, renovation and up gradation of playgrounds, revamping of boxing clubs and construction of upgraded tanks at Moosa Lane. Qaim has directed Additional Chief Secretary (P&D) Arif Ahmad Khan to see that all concerned departments report to the commissioner. Meanwhile chairing a meeting to review pace of work under annual development schemes in the province, he also took a brief on physical and financial progress of ADP schemes for 2013-2014.
