KARACHI: Korangi Town Nazim Muhammad Arif Khan Advocate has ordered to remove all illegal encroachments over the town’s water pipelines.

While addressing a meeting at his office, he said that old and leaking pipes are being replaced, after which the water supply situation will improve in Korangi.

He asked the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) to ensure equitable supply of water to all areas of the town.

SITE: SITE Town Naib Nazim Syed Badshah Khan has said that the town management and people will have to work together for developing and cleaning the town.

He inspected dumping station near Meo Shah on Saturday and mentioned that SITE Town dump animals offal at Meo Shah Dumping Station on Eid-ul-Azha after collecting them from Saddar, Lyari and Keamari.

Khan suggested that alternate means of dumping garbage should be used instead of burning it so that people could be prevented from smoke pollution.

Shah Faisal: Shah Faisal Town Nazim Karimuddin has issued a three-day deadline to all encroachers to vacate their encroachments voluntarily from the service rood and footpath of Shahrah-e-Faisal from the Jinnah Terminal to Drigh Road Station otherwise an operation will be launched against them.

He discussed the details of proposed operation with the concerned officials and said that steps should be taken so that in future the area could be made encroachment-free. app/ppi
