Islamabad – CDA (Capital Development Authority) has not yet started the construction of footpaths along ZPI (Zero Point Interchange).

The footpaths are utterly needed and their deficiency risks the lives of the citizens. On one hand, while crossing different loops of interchange, citizens have to risk their lives and on the other hand, motorists need to remain overcautious because of sharp turns.

Costing about Rs. 3.122 billion, the Zero Point Interchange developed cracks at different locations, soon after its completion and it also lacks pedestrian bridges, footpaths and required signboards.

An official from the Planning and Development Department of CDA has said that the pedestrian bridges and footpaths will be developed in the next two to three months.
