Residential, commercial, departmental, cultural and recreational zones will be built on a 33 kilometers area around River Ravi. The project has been given the name of ‘River Ravi Zone Development’.
For undertaking the development, an exclusive strategic policy unit will be organized. The unit will run under the supervision of Director General LDA and it will be comprised of the experts from the departments of urban planning, transport engineering, water engineering and finance.
This decision was made in the yesterday’s meeting of a governing body of the LDA. Moreover, the approval of Rs.1.96 billion for providing electricity infrastructure in LDA Aveue 1 was also given in the meeting.
