UNITED NATIONS (October 18 2008): UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon plans to visit Pakistan, but no date has been set for the trip, his spokesperson Michelle Montas said on Friday. "The secretary-general wants to visit all the countries of South Asia, including Pakistan, and planning in this regard is taking place," Ms Montas told APP.

"He (Ban Ki-moon) will definitely visit Pakistan," the spokesperson added, responding to a question. The UN chief is leaving for a four-nation trip at the end of this month that will take him to the Philippines, India, Nepal and Bangladesh. Ban is scheduled to attend the Second Global Forum on Migration and Development in Manila, Philippines, on October 29. From Manila, he will travel to India and then to go to Nepal and then to Bangladesh.
