The traders of the bustling Dharampoora market, cried out due to the increasing amount of encroachments on the trading area. The encroachments have come to this point that it’s hard for the local merchants to carry out their business in the market. The traders of the bird market also want the tax on bird movement and migration, to cease instantly. The tax levied on the bird movement was preposterous the traders said and was destroying their businesses.
The traders also stated that the lack of parking system had created havoc in the traffic which caused one of the worst traffic jams in Lahore and hindered the business. Another complaint due the haphazard encroachments was increasing crime rate. The traders complained that was a lack of security to combat the increasing crimes.
