Islamabad: The two-day auction of commercial plots in different sectors of the federal capital will fetch over Rs4.6 billion for the cash-starved Capital Development Authority (CDA).
On Wednesday, the CDA auctioned 13 plots each of 1066.66 square yards in Sector I-12. These plots are out of 23 commercial plots, which are part of the layout plan of the new sector and were offered for auction.
These 13 plots received a total amount of Rs913 million for the civic body. The highest price of plot was Rs131,000 per square yard while the minimum price remained at Rs52,000 per square yard.
On the first day of auction on Tuesday, which continued till evening, the CDA fetched Rs3.60 billion from the auction of nine commercial plots located in Markaz G-9, G-10, G-11 and F-11. The plot No. 57-C of area 2844.44 square was auctioned for Rs344,000 per square yard. .
