This exemplary project will serve around 18,000 travellers every hour, providing them mass transit facility of international standard, the press release stated. The 27-km-long grand Metro Bus System is being constructed on Ferozpur Road from Gajju Matta to Shahdara via Lytton Road, MAO College, Lower Mall, Data Darbar, Niazi Chowk and Shahdara.
In order to avert traffic jams, world’s longest metro bus flyover (8.6-km-long) is being constructed for the MBS. The design speed of the corridor is 35 kilometres per hour. A total of 27 bus terminals are being built on the MBS route.
