LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority on Tuesday carried out an operation against land grabbers and illegal constructions and sealed a pizza shop and two other shops in the Revenue Employees Housing Society. The operation was conducted at four different places in the city. The LDA squads demolished a number of unlawful structures for retrieving precious land. The staff of the Estate Management Directorate retrieved a plot measuring 19 kanals in C Block of Johar Town from illegal occupants. The said plot had been earmarked as public utility site. The land grabbers had set up more than 40 concrete structures on the premises which were knocked down during the operation. The pizza shop that has been sealed was situated at Main Boulevard Ghulshan-e-Ravi. The management of the shop had made addition to the original building without getting approval of the LDA. The LDA staff also demolished the illegal construction, which had been established in the parking area of LDA Flats, Lawrence Road.
