RAWALPINDI - City Traffic Police (CTP) on Monday closed Benazir Bhutto Road (BBR) from Rehmanabad to Faizabad for all kinds of traffic.
The road would remain blocked to December 25, 2012. “We are closing the part of road from Rehmanabad Chowk to Faizabad as the Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has given December 25 as deadline to City District Government for completion of Shahbaz Sharif Flyover being constructed at 6th Road” informed City Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Ishtiaq Hussain Shah while talking to media.
He said that road would remain closed for the traffic. He, while announcing the traffic plan, said that motorists who wanted to go to Islamabad from Rawalpindi should use Airport Road of IJ Principal Road. Similarly, the traffic reaching Rawalpindi from Islamabad should also use Airport Road and IJ Principal Road.
