KARACHI : KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed said that construction work on the remaining portion of the Jail Chowrangi flyover will start soon after the construction of residential flats for prison staffers which is already under way and the shifting of residents will start in the next 20 days.
He said this while paying a visit to development works in the city.
He said that the construction work of Jail Chowrangi flyover was delayed as the residence of jail staff was still under way. He said that 80 flats of 700 square feet in Type-A, and 10 flats of 1100 square feet in Type-B and 6 flats of 1550 square feet were being built by the KMC for jail staffers.
He said the construction of a loop of the flyover would affect the IG office, hence an other office had been constructed.
