LAHORE - President’s Coordinator Naveed Chaudhry on Thursday said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government has spent more than Rs 2,200 billion on development projects in the country during its tenure.
The projects include rebuilding of KKH and Indus Highway, construction of Islamabad Peshawar Motorway and Islamabad Muzaffarabad Expressway, Chashma Nuclear Power 2, Mangla Raising and Mirani Dam.
Projects including, Bhasha Dam Project, Neelum-Jhelum Hydro power project, Tarbela Extension, Chashma Nuclear Power 3 and 4 are among those of key importance, he said, while talking to the media.
Efforts regarding construction of Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway on BOT basis are also among the achievements of the government, he said.
He said that PPP is a pro-development party and its leadership has worked a lot to lead the country to the road to progress and prosperity.
Furthermore, he said that the party is fighting against poverty, illiteracy and lawlessness and its leaders and workers have done remarkable services and rendered supreme sacrifices for this cause.
He lauded PPP’s development efforts and said that no other party can present such a tremendous record as PPP has set in the history of the country.
