KARACHI - State Minister for Communications Mir Dost Muhammad Mazari on Monday directed the concerned authorities to complete Lyari Expressway within the shortest possible time and the set standard must be fully complied with.“Standard and pace of work on expressway would not be compromised with, at any cost. We have no room for any corrupt, in-efficient and irresponsible official ,” he warned during his visit to the under-construction Lyari Expressway, said a release from NHA here. NHA General Manager for Lyari Expressway Sham Sundar, Deputy Inspector General of Motorway Police Nasir Mehmood Satti and other senior officers accompanied him.The Communications Minister, talking to media on this occasion, said that his Ministry was utilizing all its available resources for timely completion of the development projects managed by NHA in Sindh province including Karachi so that the people could benefit from these projects.He said the present PPP-led government had been making its best efforts for the rapid development and economic prosperity of the country and the nation. It has succeeded in overcoming various challenges and crisis inherited from the past governments.The government has taken revolutionary steps in different sectors including communications so that the sense of deprivation among the people could be removed through practical and long-lasting steps.The minister, earlier, was briefed about the progress of construction work of Lyari Expressway
