LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to carry out land use survey of Sabzazar Housing Scheme in order to identify the deviations and irregularities in the original scheme plan.

According to a spokesman of LDA, measurements of all the plots, roads, open spaces, parks and public or offices buildings and other specified sites will be verified as per scheme plan during this survey.

He said LDA has invited tenders from reputable firms and consultants to conduct this survey. Tender documents can be obtained from the Director Town Planning-III, LDA from October 25, which could be submitted by the 31st of October, 2012, along-with information demonstrating that the firms have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the these services.

Lahore Development Authority has so far disbursed an amount of more than 110 million rupees as compensation among the ex-land owners of 82 properties, situated from Ichhra to Bhatti Chowk, which had been acquired for construction of Metro Bus System.

This payment is being made at the rate determined by the District Price Assessment Committee. An amount of Rs. 1.80 billion has already been released to the Land Acquisition Collector for this purpose.

Other owners of the acquired properties have been asked to contact the Land Acquisition Collector, LDA, along with their ownership documents.
