ISLAMABAD - The capital development Authority (CDA) could not still resolve the problem of possession of land for the construction of the Magalla Avenue from Sector B-17 to Sector D-12 on GT Road.
According to sources in CDA, only six kilometres out of 11 kilometres land could be occupied, where the construction work is under way.
It is relevant to mention here that the construction work on the project was started in June 2012 while the contract was given for Rs588 million for the construction of nine kilometres.
According to the contract the road is to be completed in one year. The former chairman had added two more kilometers in the contract but the affecttees are creating hurdles in the project. Construction work is underway on six kilometer portion, while graveyard and houses on rest of the five kilometers are obstacle in the development work.
