Seven uplift schemes approved

THE Punjab Government has approved seven schemes at an estimated cost of Rs 7254 million on Tuesday.

The approval was given in the 4th meeting of the Provincial Development working Party presided over by Planning and Development Board Chairman, Javaid Aslam.

The approved schemes include PMU of Punjab Resource Management Programme at the cost of Rs 287 million, Public Private Partnership Cell at the cost of Rs 313 million, Punjab Accelerated Functional Literacy and Non Formal Basic Education Project at the cost of Rs 2333 million, Widening/Improvement of road from Kallar Kahar to Choa Saiden Shah (length 30.50 Km) District Chakwal at the cost of Rs 497 million, Widening/Improvement & Raising of Gojra to Mureed Wala Road (length 27.65 Km), District TT Singh at the cost of Rs 268 million, Development and Construction of Bus Depot on Southern Side at the cost of Rs 1376 million and Metro Bus Transit System For Lahore- Ferozepur Road Corridor, Construction of MTS from Taxali Chowk to Shahdara Morr (Package-V) Length 3.3 Km at the cost of Rs 2180 million.

Members of the P&D Board and representatives of the Finance, P&D, Environment, and Transport, School Education, Literacy & NFBE and Communication & Works departments also attended the meeting.
