Roads worth Rs 39b to be constructed
Lahore Development Authority on Monday said that a budget of Rs 39 billion was approved for the development authority and its civic agencies city-wide for the years 2012-2013.
A budget of Rs 22.95 billion was approved for Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency for city-wide projects.
According to a report published in World Highways, around Rs 21.82 billion would be spend on traffic signal installations and maintenance, a rapid bus transit system, the first phase of the of Khayaban-i-Jinnah-Valencia Town road and an underpass at a railway crossing on the MS Ali Road.
