ZDA signs MoU for Dhandhari bridge

KARACHI: Zulfikarabad Development Authority (ZDA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with AA Quality Builders here Thursday for the construction of six kilometers long Dhandhari bridge on Zulfikarabad Expressway. Talking to media on the occasion here Thursday, Managing Director ZDA Lt Gen ® Syed Iftikhar Hussain said that the completion of Karachi-Badin Zulfikarabad Expressway would make this region a centre of economic activities. He said that the Sindh government was in charge of this project where the construction work of Dhandhari bridge has been tasked to ZDA. A Chinese company is providing financial, technical and administrative support to SDA, he added. He said Dhandhari bridge will be constructed at a cost of Rs 3.7 billion. The first section of the expressway measuring 21 kilometers will start from Gharo and go up to Dhandhari bridge. From Dhandhari bridge, the expressway will go up to Shah Bandar in the second section measuring 25 kilometers, he noted
