CDA chief pledges solution of problems

Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Engineer Farkhand Iqbal said on Sunday that the CDA would take all-out measures to make Islamabad the most beautiful, encroachment-free and environment-friendly city of the country. He said this on the eve of his visit to Kalsoom Plaza, Blue Area and Melody Market, G-6 Civic Centre here on Sunday. Chairman CDA during his visit to Blue Area inspected the ongoing development work. He directed the concerned formations of the authority to complete all the development projects timely and with quality, adding that any deficiency or delay would not be tolerated. He said that strict action would be taken against the officers concerned not complying with the orders of the authority. He directed the concerned formation of CDA to resolve the parking issue in Melody Market and take effective measures for creations of a parking area in the market. He also inspected the up-gradation work of roads around the Melody Market and expressed his satisfaction over the ongoing work. The CDA chairman also visited Food Street in Melody Market and met representatives of the trader community. staff report
