Five uplift schemes approved

LAHORE - The Punjab government has approved five development schemes with an estimated cost of Rs. 7996.324 million, an official said.

According to a spokesman of the Planning and Development Board, the approval was given in the 39th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party presided over by Javaid Aslam, Chairman Planning and Development Board. The approved schemes includes construction of Concrete Silos 30,000 M. Tones Capacity at Mana Ahmadani, DG Khan at the cost of Rs. 926.993 million, establishment of Institute of Urology and Transplantation Rawalpindi at the cost of Rs. 3334.468 million, Lahore Ring Road Project, Construction of road along Khaira Distributary from Package seventeen to Ferozepur Road at the cost of Rs. 259.974 million, Rehabilitation of Emergency Services in Major Cities of Punjab at the cost of Rs.396.000 million and Construction of BRTS from M.A.O College to Bhaati Chowk (Elevated) Length =2.1 KM (Package-IV) at the cost of Rs.3078.889 million. Members of the P&D Board and representatives of the Finance, Environment, Food, Transport Departments also attended the meeting.
