CMS module launching ceremony at DHA

KARACHI (PR) - A Computerized Management System (CMS) module launching ceremony was held at DHA’s main office complex here the other day. DHA Administrator Brig Aamer Raza Qureshi was its chief guest. The newly developed computerised system has been developed by a software developer M/S Axact in collaboration with DHA IT Team.

Brig Aamer, speaking on the occasion, said that this important event was another landmark of DHA’s advancing into the digital age.

He said that the first module of CMS system developed was a great technological stride in the field of computerisation. He added that as a first step the system was been introduced in all Defence Authority Clubs initially which would revolutionize their working efficiency and administrative systems to a great level.

He emphasised the need for computerisation in all DHA institutions for the benefit of various departments in their day to day working, like optimum use of resources, an efficiently maintained attendance record, digital documentation, stock management of inventory, improved cash flow management and timely disbursement of payrolls.

Secretary DHA Col ® Ajmal Rasheed in his speech thanked the team involved in carrying out this remarkable project in form of a technologically sound module in a record period of 48 days.

Earlier, Axact CEO Mr Shoaib Ahmed Sheikh, in his speech, highlighted the importance of paper free environment through the adoption of this unbeatable and best software system in

the world.

DHA MIS Director Waseem Akbar informed the gathering that the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system developed was easily comparable to other world class ERPs. He said that the main advantage of this system over the current system in use was flexibility, enhance efficiency and synergy. He elaborated that ERPs were designed to provide saving in time and reduction in wastage of resource though speedier access to information and hence faster decision making.

The administrator appreciated the DHA team involved in developing the efficient Computerised System and announced a bonus for them as an incentive.

The launching ceremony was attended by large number of DHA officials, all stake holders and IT experts.
