Roadwork creates traffic mess on Ferozepur Road
LAHORE: Citizens had to face serious traffic problems on and under Kot Lakhpat Flyover, Ferozepur Road, due to the ongoing construction work. Hundreds of vehicles remained stuck in a heavy traffic jam on the road on Sunday.
The flyover is commonly known as the ‘Nawaz Sharif Bridge’ because it was constructed during the tenure of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif.
One side of the flyover – going from Model Town turn towards Qanchi Ammar sadhu –was closed for traffic and the other side was being used for dual-way traffic, eventually resulting in a traffic mess on the both sides of the bridge as well as underneath the flyover.
