CDA directs Marriott administration to remove encroachments

Islamabad—Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) has directed to remove all the encroachments in different areas of the Federal Capital to facilitate the residents.

He directed the encroachers to remove the encroachments at their own failing which CDA would take strict action against them. He said that the blockades and encroachments by the Marriott Hotels administration is causing nuisance for the people traveling on the road in front of the hotel and the encroached area near the parking is damaging the adjacent green belt and green area.

During his visit to inspect the encroachments in the area particularly those erected by the hotel administration here today. Chairman CDA, Engineer Farkhand Iqbal said that the hotel administration has blocked the road illegally causing problems for the general public.

He said that CDA would protect the green cover and natural beauty of the Federal Capital and no one would be allowed to distort it. he said that all the illegal parking would be removed to restore the green belts and facilitate the people.

Chairman CDA said that unlawful road blocks not only cause problems for the general public but also are the main source of hindrance in provision of the civic and emergency services to the residence particularly during a case of accidents in emergency.
