Govt seeks Turkish cooperation in energy generation

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has sought Turkish cooperation in the fields of transportation, solid waste management, waste to energy generation and real estate development to make federal capital as one of the worlds most developed capitals.

"We wish Turkish government shares experiences, development models besides supporting the civic authority in Islamabad to help develop the city on modern lines," said Chairman Prime Ministers Task Force on Faisal Sakhi Butt addressing a reception, hosted in honor of visiting Burhan Kayaturk. Mr. Burhan Kayaturk is President of Pakistan and Turkey Friendship Association.

The federal government has conferred Tamgha-e-Imtiaz on him on Pakistan Day in honor of his services he rendered to bring Pakistan and Turkey closer especially in fields of education and culture.

Addressing the reception, Kayaturk thanked the Chairman Prime Ministers Task Force for honoring him with a graceful reception, besides lauding his commitment to develop the city in accordance with the modern trends.

He particularly stressed enhanced activities of the PakTurk educational institutions in Pakistan and talked about the achievements of the Pakistani students who bring pride and distinction to Pakistan in national and international science and education competitions.
