Housing scheme for lower category government employees on card


ISLAMABAD, Mar 20 (APP): Federal Minister for Housing and Works, Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat has said that the government would soon announce low cost housing schemes for lower grade government employees in the federal capital and some other cities. He was speaking at the balloting ceremony of plots here at Kuri Road Housing Scheme on Monday evening. Secretary Ministry of Housing and Works Kamran Lashari, Managing Director Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation Rasool Bux Phulpoto and allottees of plots were also present on the occasion.

Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat said that Kuri Road Housing Project is a landmark housing scheme and his ministry is trying to expand this scheme for the benefit of employees.
He said that the ministry is striving hard to fulfill the promises of the prime minister’s one million houses in this regard.
He said that the ministry has arranged Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules workshops for the employees of the departments working under the ministry to further improve their capabilities to ensure good goverence.
He said that the houses will be built at low rates after completion of the tender process.
The minister said that housing ministry has also formed a committee of retired and serving officers to monitor the progress of the development work.
Meanwhile, through balloting 81 plots were allotted to BPS-22 officers, 102 to BPS-21 and 99 to BPS-20 officers respectively.
MD PHA Foundation Rasool Bux Phulpoto speaking on the occasion said that allottees can get corner plots with an extra payment of Rs. 120,000 for officers of BPS-22, Rs. 80,000 for BPS-21 and Rs 45,000 for BPS 20 officers respectively.
