Karachi Development News : 10 more pedestrian bridges to be built

KARACHI, March 8: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation has decided to build 10 more pedestrian bridges at different locations in the city in the current financial year.

According to KMC transport and communication department senior director Atique Baig, the places identified for construction of the pedestrian bridges include M.A. Jinnah Road, near Hamdard University Hospital; Rashid Minhas Road, near KDA Lal Flats; Iqra University; City School (PAF Chapter); Stadium Road, near Khatoon-i-Pakistan College; Korangi No5; ICI Bridge, Mauripur; Sharea Faisal, near Finance and Trade Centre, and Gulistan-i-Jauhar, opposite Darrus Sehat Hospital.

Work on these pedestrian bridges would begin within a month and they would be completed in the next four to six months, he said.
