Islamabad—MD Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, Zamurd Khan, said on Thursday that Pakistan Sweet Homes program is building up self-confidence in orphans to make them progressive citizens of the society.

Zamurd Khan briefed Iraqi diplomat in a meeting about Bait-ul-Mall’s Sweet Homes program.

He informed the diplomat that four to six years old children were brought up in healthy home atmosphere, where all facilities, including educational and food were provided to them upto 14 year of age.

He said that donors have expressed their confidence in the program and several Sweet Homes got sponsorships for 14 years from the donors.

Zamurd Khan said that the program was first of its nature in the country, saying that all credit goes to democratic government. He said that the program was started in 2010 from one orphan and now Sweet Homes are facilitating more than 2800 children.
