Karachi—Administrator Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Muhammad Hussain Syed, on Thursday paid a visit to ongoing development projects in different areas of city.

He was accompanied by Municipal Commissioner, Matanat Ali Khan, Director Technical Services, Altaf G. Memon, Director Parks, Liaqut Ali Khan, EDO Transport and Communication, Ateeq Baig, Senior Director Health Services, Dr Nasir Javed, Senior Director Sports and Culture, Rehan Khan, Administrator ZMC South Muhammad Raisi, Municipal Commissioner ZMC South Nauman Arshad, Municipal Commissioner ZMC East Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Chief Engineer District East, Mehmood Hussain Baloch and other officials.

The visit begun from Baradari Car Parking site at Polo Ground which has the capacity of parking of 600 cars in the two storey parking area.

This project was carried out on Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis with a cost of Rs. 400 million. Construction of old Baradari and adjacent park over the parking site was underway.

Administrator Karachi on the occasion said that this being densely populated area had five star hotels and thousands of offices. Parking of vehicles on roads and inner streets had caused regular traffic jam and the people had lot of difficulties due to this.

With the completion of Baradari Car Parking Area this problem would be solved.
