Encroachments resurface outside Polyclinic

ISLAMABAD - Encroachers have reopened illegal structures in front of Poly Clinic Hospital. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) had earlier removed all the encroachments set up in the park outside the gate of the hospital. Now all the encroachers have returned and started their business afresh. Presently, 24 illegal cabins have been established.
Moreover, illegal tea stall owners are selling unhygienic products, including, juices, mineral water, tea and bread and looting outdoor patients and visitors by selling commodities at high prices as compared to market rates. No rate list has been displayed by any stall holder in sheer defiance of the rules.
Union councils to get
computer centres: The government has decided to set up computer literacy centres at 20 union councils in the federal capital.
The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration will set up computer literacy centres in its 12 constituencies. As per details federal government has released funds to Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICT) to provide facilities including setting up commuter literacy centers at Model College for Girls Golra Sharif, Model School for Girls Singjani and Islamabad Model School for Girls Jhang Syedan and other 12 union councils. The Islamabad chief commissioner directed the authorities concerned to set up computer literacy centres well in time.
CPO orders car safety awareness drive: The district administration has decided to launch awareness campaign among the people against theft of cars and motorcycles.
The Rawalpindi CPO has issued directives to all the station house officers (SHOs) throughout the district to launch the campaign. The directives say awareness campaign to check incidents of lifting cars and motorcycles among the people of their areas should be initiated.
Banners, posters and pamphlets should be distributed among the people in markets and all the parts of the city. People should arrange installation of clutch bar system in their vehicles, which is available with Rescue-15. The citizens should park their cars in their homes and not at open places, the directives added.
EOBI to support low-income people: The EOBI has made 15 years service registration mandatory for pension purpose. All the system of EOBI has been converted into online. Any company or firm can upload data of its employees easily.
A 100 percent return is given to affected persons in the event of accident or death and 5 years registration is made mandatory in this connection
