CDA directed to upgrade IJ Principal road
ISLAMABAD: Planning Commission (PC) has directed CDA management to expand and upgrade IJ Principal road, sources say.
Sources said this matter came under discussion in the meeting of central development working party that IJ Principal road is not worn out from GT road to Faizabad fly over but traffic flow has also increased over it.
Sources said decision has been taken to expand the road into 8 lanes road. 2 lanes will be allocated to ease general traffic on both sides and two lanes for plying heavy vehicles. Interchange will also be built on two places over IJ Principal road. One interchange will be built at Pir Wadhai More and second will be constructed at intersection connecting stadium road to sixth road.
