Karachi—The three-day DHA Book Fair organized by Central Library DHA (DCL) at Sunset Boulevard opened evening for the public. A DHA official said here on Friday that the inauguration ceremony marked the beginning of the literary, educational and cultural activities being held at DCL.
He said that the President of First Women Bank Limited, Shafqat Sultana, was the chief guest on the occasion.Eighteen leading publishers/booksellers have set up their stalls where quality books on different subjects varying from literature, philosophy, religion, social sciences and children’s activity books at highly rebated prices are put on display. A large number of public including students, avid readers and researchers having a quest of knowledge thronged the venue and made purchases of books. He said that reading enriches human experience, develops one’s vision and personality and brings a transformation in life.
