LAHORE (PR) – Two relief centres have been established to help out for the displaced families of Fata in DHA Lahore. This was decided in an emergency meeting held by Brig Muhammad Aslam Rana, administrator DHA Lahore.
Relief centres have been established at Masjid Chowk Phase-I and opposite Beacon House School, W-Block, Phase-3. DHA spokesman Tajammal Hussain Anjum briefed the media persons about the relief package for displaced families of Fata. An appeal has been made to public and humanitarian for bed sheets, pillows with cover, male & female shawls, sleepers, towels, hand fans, utensil like steel rice plates, a large plate of brass, cooker, water cooler, bath, cloth & dish washing soaps, mosquito quails, small spade and other household items for helping the IDPs.
Plastic boxes have also been installed at all DHA mosques, where people can drop donations in the form of cash. He further said that food/perishable items and clothing will not be received at the centres.
People can deposit the donation in relief fund for the IDPs of Fata in account number 10257900309601 Habib Bank, Fortress Stadium Branch. Goods thus collected will be handed over to Pakistan Army for further distribution. For further details, people may contact on the numbers of Army Relief Centre 042-669932525, 042-669932123.
