ISLAMABAD: A budget of Rs 2.082 billion has been allocated to Capital Development Authority (CDA) under Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) in 2011-12 budget.

According to budget documents, Rs 300 million have been allocated for addition of 3rd & 4th lane to Kashmir Highway from Peshawar Mor to Golra Mor. One billion rupees will be provided for the construction of 106 family suits of parliament lodges, Rs 200 million for the construction of 2nd hanger at Heliport Islamabad, Rs 300 million are allocated for the Construction of Charah Dam, Rs 45 million for establishment of Pak China Friendship Centre Islamabad, Rs 75 million for security arrangement at the Parliament House Building, Rs 17 million for up-grading public address, simultaneous interpretation and automatic vote costing system installed at the Senate, Rs 18 million sanctioned for A/C facilities, installation of fire alarm system, P/L of CCTV system procurement of spares for lifts at the Parliament House, Rs 37 million for construction of residential & non-residential accommodation for police at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Rs 1.8 million for construction of official residence for Speaker National Assembly in F-5/2, Rs 2.5 million are allocated for the construction of 16 Nos.

Cat-IV flats for AGPR in G-9/2, Rs 14 million for replacement of carpet in main prayer hall of Faisal Mosque, Rs 7 million for providing / installation of security system in the surrounding of Faisal Mosque, Rs 5 million for installation of professional CCTV system in the Senate hall, Rs 26 million for rehabilitation / replacement of 32 Nos lifts at Pak Secretariat building, and Rs 31 million for the renovation of IJP Road.

Budget allocation under maintenance grant to CDA was Rs 1.59 billion. Rs 187 has been sanctioned for Aiwan e Sadr, Rs 187 million for Parliament lodges, Rs 37 million for AGPR building and Rs 959 million for other buildings which are owned by different government department but CDA is responsible for their maintenance.
