LAHORE:
The Estate Management Directorate 2 of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has retrieved three plots from illegal occupants, according to a press release.
The plots were handed over to the original allottees on Thursday.
These plots, each measuring one kanal and bearing numbers 58, 59 and 60, were situated in Block A of the Sabzazar Housing Scheme.
The pieces of land had been under the use of unauthorised persons for a long time.
They had set up an auction house for furniture on the properties.
Estate Management 2 director Liaqat Ali Randhawa personally supervised the operation, under which staff also demolished a number of encroachments, including ramps, platforms and other illegal structures that were creating hurdles in the smooth flow of traffic and pedestrians in the area.
