LAHORE:A number of students from various educational institutions staged a protest demonstration against the proposed devolution of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) here in front of Lahore Press Club on Monday.
The protesters carrying placards and banners were chanting slogans in favour of the HEC and education. They also staged a sit-in on the road.
The speakers addressing the gathering demanded the government not to dissolve the HEC for the sake of the protection of student rights.
