Kalma Chowk stay order dismissed
LAHORE: A two-member bench of the Lahore High Court dismissed the stay order against the construction of Kalma Chowk flyover on Monday.
As a result, the court has directed the Punjab government to immediately resume construction at the site.
The construction work came to a halt soon after a petition was sent into court that cited serious environmental implications if the project had continued.
The Lahore High Court on March 28 took a decision and barred the provincial government from carrying out any further construction.
During a hearing earlier this month, the court extended the stay order and directed the provincial government to file a response for the withdrawal of the stay order.
