LAHORE: The German Shepherd Championship Dog Show was held at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club Driving Range on Sunday, in which 150 German Shepherds were enrolled as participants. The dogs belonged to five categories, namely, minor puppies (6-9 months old), Puppy (9 to 12 months old), Junior (12 to 18 months old), Youth (18 to 24 months old) and Open Class (above the age of 2). The judge of the competition was Imran Hussain, a businessman by profession, who started judging dog shows in 1977 and has the honour of judging more than 100 international pet shows and 55 all breed championship shows. Imran is also the first foreigner to be permitted to breed dogs in Germany. The competition winner in the “minor puppy” category was a shepherd named Hailey, owned by Syed Irfan Haider; in the “puppy female” and “puppy male” category, the winners were Chaty von die besten owned by Aneeb Mian and Champ von also owned by Aneeb Mian; in the “junior female” and “junior male” category, the winners were Bally owned by Ahmed Subhani and Billo owned by Ali Malik, respectively.
