KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah said there is a vast scope of investment in Sindh and it is the endeavour of the government to provide infrastructure and incentives to potential investors to come and invest in various sectors, particularly in projects in the fields of coal development and power generation.

He said this while addressing a seminar organised by Sindh Board of Investment on Development and Investment for Livestock, Dairy, Fisheries and Poultry at Karachi Expo Centre to enhance investment process in the province.

Various countries including friendly nations are coming forward to invest in various projects and the Iran government had come forward in this regard.

While handing over Pak-Iran land documents to Iran Consul General at Karachi, Abbas Ali Abdullahi, Sindh CM said that there are cordial relations between the two countries and those brethren relations will further strengthen with the passage of time.

Sindh chief minister appreciated the efforts of Sindh Board of Investment particularly the Adviser Zubair Motiwala, with whose concerted efforts, many leading businessmen are attending the seminar and visiting the exhibition.

He lauded the efforts of the Sindh Board of Investment for properly projecting the various breeds of livestock, fish, shrimps, camels, horses and desi and poultry farm, to attract maximum investors and traders for consumption and export purposes.

Pakistan, particularly Sindh, is an agriculture-oriented province and besides food items, orchards, and vegetables, it is famous for prominent breeds in cattle, dairy farming, having vast area in coastal belt with fisheries, shrimps and poultry.

After inaugurating the exhibition, he said the best breeds of animals such as Kundhi buffalos, Kamori goat, Thari cow and other animals are famous for milk and meat production.

Qaim said with organising an exhibition, the local people and foreigners will be shown breeds, species and varieties being used for food and other purposes.

He hoped that this exhibition will not only bring maximum investors and exporters but will encourage the livestock owners, dairy and poultry farmers to enhance breeding and production of their commodities.

He said the Sindh Board of Investment will further make concerted efforts to further do the needful for furtherance of their objective.

On the occasion, Motiwala gave the welcome address and said that many researchers, scholars, traders, businessmen, investors and exporters are participating in the seminar, which will bring prominent results.

Sindh Investment Secretary Younis Dhaga, Sindh Livestock Secretary Laeeq Memon, Businessmen Group Chairman Siraj Qasim Teli, office bearers of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, businessmen and traders were also present on the occasion.
