LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on a petition seeking construction of a road from Punjab University New Campus to Thokar Niaz Baig has asked for a report from the Lahore Development Authority (LDA). A local citizen moved the petition in which he said that that it was a frequently used road and was in a bad condition, which made travel difficult. He said that the LDA had not bothered to repair or reconstruct the road since a long time. The citizen said that for the smooth flow of traffic and to facilitate commuters, the construction of the road was necessary. He requested the LHC to issue directions to the LDA to construct the road immediately.
